Bring the energy you want to the table

Lacey Nelson

Instead of the now classic perspective of, “this generation is so f-d up, no one is loyal, everyone is superficial and selfish, etc.” Try demonstrating exactly what you want from others and this world. Lead by example, embody the loyalty, selflessness, and love you wish to see instead of contributing to the negativity.

“To teach is to demonstrate.” we teach others how to treat us by how we treat ourselves and them. If you don’t like something about other humans, make sure you are not, in fact, portraying those traits yourself. It’s easy to condemn everyone else and do nothing.

Don’t Do Nothing. BE the person you wish to meet, whether it’s to a clerk at a gas station or on a first date. Be the loyal, courageous, honest, fun-loving person you desire to see from others, and ultimately, it will come back to you. Even if it doesn’t, you’ll have the peaceful knowledge that you were everything you wanted to see in this world, and I guarantee you’ll end up much happier than those who simply just complained and condemned.
Bring the energy you want to the table.
